Senior swimmer Colin Kavanagh has committed to Williams College. Kavanagh, a key contributor to an undefeated Blue Devil boys swim team, will join the Division III Ephs in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).

Kavanagh has been a member of the swim team since his freshman year. Over that time, he has broken three school records, finished 4th at nationals in a relay, and placed 9th and 10th in individual races at nationals.

Kavanagh is in the midst of continuing his success. “So far I’ve dropped a lot of time in my 200 free,” said Kavanagh. “Right now, the goal is to win a state championship. At nationals this year, I want to be in the top eight in an individual race.”

When speaking about what he’ll miss most, Kavanagh said, “The people I was with and my coach. The bonds I’ve built here will last a lifetime.”

For Kavanagh, Williams encapsulates his perfect school. “It met all my criteria,” he said. “I wanted a strong school academically and a team that was tight knit. Williams has all that.”
