Cody Lam, attackman for the Blue Devils lacrosse team, announced his commitment to Princeton on September 17th via Instagram.
Lam has been a member of the boys varsity lacrosse team since his freshman year and had a hat trick in his first ever game with the team in a state playoff game. In the high school offseason, he plays for Building Blocks Lacrosse and was named an Under Armour All-American this summer. Lam totaled 57 goals last year, along with 20 assists.
Lam will bring his talents to the Tigers who finished last season with a record of 11-5. According to ncaa.com, Princeton finished with the number 2 ranking at the end of the season.
Lam said he knew from the beginning of his college recruiting process that he wanted to go to Princeton. “It has been my dream school for a while now. I went there for my visit and it was beyond what I expected. The team culture, the coaches and the school were perfectly fit for me,” said Lam.
Lam still has two more seasons as an attackman for the Blue Devils. He has made it clear that he is an excellent goal scorer, and hopes to lead Westfield to a state championship.
